With over 45 years of innovation in GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic), Eurograte products represent excellence in the industry.
Eurograte products are made with selected raw materials, ensuring excellent characteristics in every application.
The choice of high-quality and certified materials, along with four decades of experience in composite manufacturing, is essential to achieving the parameters described below.
The resin is the key component of a composite that resists chemical corrosion.
Among the most common resins, categorized by importance, we find:
Depending on the selected resin, Eurograte composites can be used in environments ranging from mild aggression to extremely corrosive conditions.
Glass fibres provide mechanical strength to the product.
The commonly used glass fibres are:
With a specific weight of about 1.75 kg/dm³, fiberglass composites ensure easy handling and installation of the product and significant weight savings in supporting structures.
Eurograte products are made with self-extinguishing low smoke emission resins to reduce risks in the event of fire. The resins contain “halogen-free” additives, free from chlorinated, brominated, and similar compounds.
Fiberglass does not conduct electricity, making Eurograte composites ideal for applications where costly “grounding” procedures need to be avoided.
Situations where a conductive material is required, specific additives can be incorporated into the resin to achieve this characteristic in the composite.
Fiberglass is a transparent material that does not interfere with electromagnetic waves, radio waves, or radar.
Eurograte gratings feature an anti-slip surface, created by applying silica grains, that ensures a long-lasting durability and a superior adherence compared to all other types of gratings, even under wet, frozen, oily, or greasy conditions.
The anti-slip surface of Eurograte gratings meets the R13 – V10 classification, in accordance with DIN 51130 standards.
The reliability of Eurograte is confirmed by official certifying bodies. The technical and production department has obtained the certifications illustrated in the Certifications section over more than 45 years of production.
Eurograte structural pultruded profiles have E23 certified performance, complying with the EN13706 standard, and represent the highest standard for load-bearing performance.
Eurograte offers anti-static, dissipative, and conductive ATEX gratings in all the standard mesh sizes and formats indicated in the Eurograte catalogue. What distinguishes these products is their special formulation, developed through a careful research process and certified according to regulations.
Thanks to the intrinsic characteristics of fiberglass, the composites do not need any special maintenance even after many years of use in extreme conditions. This automatically means significant long-term economic savings.
Although metal gratings may seem less expensive at the time of purchase, they prove to be uneconomical due to the costs of maintenance and replacement over time. Eurograte GRP gratings do not require sandblasting or painting even after years of service, thus representing a cost-effective solution compared to traditional metal gratings.
Eurograte gratings are available in standard panels but can be supplied in customized sizes upon request. Their lightweight, ease of assembly, and the ability to make cuts on-site facilitate installation, simplify the installation and reduce costs. Since they do not contain metal parts, Eurograte gratings can be cut without edge banding or any additional protections for the cut areas.
