Anti-slip surfaces

Most injuries that occur in public and work environments are often attributed to poor visibility or ineffective anti-slip surfaces on walkways and stairs.

Details of anti-slip surfaces

In response to these issues, Eurograte offers products designed to provide the highest level of anti-slip safety.

Eurograte has four options for anti-slip surfaces in its range of gratings and boasts an innovative mechanized installation, unique in Europe, for the application of silica grains.

Eurograte ensures that its walking surfaces comply with the safety standards set by DIN 51130

The products are classified as R13V10, meaning they offer a high degree of slip resistance, both in the presence of silica grains and in other configurations.

Regarding the GRP gratings, the company offers four different options that can be adapted based on specific project requirements and maintenance needs, ensuring compliance with anti-slip surface certifications:

  1. Concave gratings or surfaces: without silica, this type offers a good level of slip resistance.
  2. Silica gratings or surfaces: available in three variants:
    • Standard: designed for most installations, providing an excellent balance between safety and practicality.
    • Fine: ideal for environments where people walk barefoot, such as pools or wellness areas.
    • Coarse: designed for very slippery contexts or in the presence of oils, such as offshore structures, ensuring maximum safety.

The mentioned surfaces (except for the concave type) can be replicated on all Eurograte safety products, offering versatility and customization.

The quality of the anti-slip surfaces, which ensures high performance and advanced safety, has helped consolidate the Eurograte brand’s reputation in the sector.

Distinctive features

Thanks to the combination of resins and fiberglass, the following distinctive features are achieved:

Mechanical resistance

Eurograte anti-slip surfaces can support loads up to several tons

Corrosion resistance

they are the ideal solution for environments characterized by various levels of corrosion, from environmental aggression to extreme chemical aggression

Electrical insulation

due to the electrical insulation properties of fiberglass, they are non-conductive and guarantee a safe working environment even without grounding

Lightweight

GRP is a lightweight material that simplifies the transport of gratings, facilitates installation and avoids the use of lifting equipment. Additionally, the lightness allows for easy and simple cleaning

Self-extinguishing

Eurograte composite materials meet the strictest standards in terms of applications in environments where it is essential to reduce or contain the spread of fire and smoke

Radio transparency

GRP anti-slip surfaces do not interfere with radio signals, electromagnetic waves, and radar signals. For this reason, they can be installed in environments where it is necessary to facilitate the transmission of radio waves (e.g., airports, marine sector).
